As the lines of people waiting for a food parcel or hot meal grow longer; more and more people are needing help. Most food banks will give a box of groceries to people with a voucher or referral whilst others are open to all who are in need. And with research from Trussell Trust, Britain’s largest food bank network, finding one in in five people referred to its 1,300 food bank centres in the summer were from households where someone worked; it shows that both the working and non-working are being affected.
